They were evicted from this previous home as they were squatting, not having any land to put a home on.

Getting Closer!

After another six weeks spent in Manila with lawyers, accountants etc. etc. I am slowly reaching the goal of getting a non stock, non profit company incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Then comes the Dept. of Social Welefare licensing. The real work back in Palawan is continuing along with an expansion to the Manila area and working with the street kids there. Interesting work but frustrated at every turn with lack of resources and such a huge need to fill. Back in Tokyo seems a million miles and another world away.

Dep't of Social Welfare licensing

So much time, effort and money is being spent to get licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and the Securities and Exchange Commission. It has me bogged down with paperwork but this is the process that I must go through to be properly recognized by the Philippines Governmemt. Hopefully my work for the last year and a half in Palawan will prove to be of some benefit and will be taken into consideration for the approval of this long and drawn out process. Too much time is having to be spent in Manila while the application is being prepared.

Crysle, Jan. 08

After a time of neglecting this blog I am happy to report that Crysle and family are doing very well as of Jan. 08. I made another rather long visit to Palawan over Dec. and Jan. to continue work on the project.
